Sketches!

MoCCA was awesome and went really well! More Jesus Loves Lesbians, Too whatnot coming soon, but in the mean time, here's some sketches I had the chance to scan today! (In no particular order).

These are from my last trip to Phili.

An oil pastel drawing of Nathaniel...I miss oil pastels!

More drawings of Nathaniel, I think we were waiting for a bus.

Drawings from an awesome potluck picnic in Central Park.

And some women on the A train who held still long enough to be drawn.

Pottermore

So, last week Nathaniel and I signed up for Pottermore...

And then a friend on tumblr drew herself as her Pottermore self/ Hogwarts student and it looked fun and self indulgent, so here is my version! This is Nathaniel and I if we were magical teenagers in Hogwarts.
Nathaniel is a total holier then thou digital Slytherin and has been since he's been sorted :p  Pottermore is a lot of fun thus far!

In other news, I've been cramming to assemble comics for the MoCCA Festival, which is in 6 days.  More about that soon!

Jesus Loves Lesbians, Too . . .in Print!

So, the webcomic I've been illustrating since the summer, Jesus Loves Lesbians, Too  has a kickstarter! It's at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/362780512/jesus-loves-lesbians-too-in-print and the lovely writer, Maria Burnham and I are trying to raise money to print physical copies of our comic for the MoCCA festival at the end of April.

We're already half way to our goal and incredibly thankful of everyone who has already donated.  But if you haven't seen it, check it out if you have a chance! We seriously appreciate any and all donations, and spread the word!

More RAIN commissions

These are my last batch of RAIN commissions, besides the last pesky person who hasn't given us a topic yet.  Pretty exciting! I had a lot of fun with these ones.
The ninja on a bike was my choice, and I think it was a pretty good one.

I worked on this one while listening to my boyfriend play Dungeons & Dragons over skype.  Such a fun mindset!

This one is "love and desire", which I was avoiding, but really enjoyed working on.

And this one is a vision of timelessness.  No joke.  I was having trouble working on it in watercolor, so I stated layering over the original.  Everything but the kitchen sink ended up on this one including parts of my old socks, the bottom of a candle, and a spring.  So much fun!

Definitely check out more about the RAIN Anthology project at http://www.789studio.com/ there are some sweet artist interviews that are worth reading.  And the final book should be printed by April, so stay tuned!

Some RAIN commissions!!

Here are some of my commissions I'm doing for the RAIN anthology, http://www.789studio.com/. A super cool comics and illustration anthology coming out in March!
This one was a wild card, so warrior with fun hair it is!

Someone requested Boston Terriors! I tried to draw some generic dogs, I originally wanted to do a whole bunch of them wearing party hats, but I ended up drawing the 2 dogs I'm always drawing in the webcomic I do, jesusloveslesbianstoo.com

And someone wanted a Hawaiian themed commission, so here's mine.  This one is of Queen Liliuokalani, the last Queen of Hawaii, overthrown in a bloodless coup before Hawaii was annexed.

Forget-me-not Pencils!

This is, (hopefully), my final comic for the RAIN anthology I'm working on! It's written by the lovely Kelsey Donald, and drawn by yours truly. 7 pages of brainwashing aliens and a break-up-quasi-love story.  Stay tuned :)
